Kid Bookie is a force to be reckoned with. When he was 16 years old he met rapper/producer Dot Rotten, who got him on Tim Westwood’s BBC 1 Xtra show. Since then he has worked hard, collaborating on singles with artists such as Samantha Mumba and Lady Leshurr and has released two EPs, with his first mixtape coming out in 2014.
His long-awaited follow-up, You’ll Rate Me When I’m Dead, is finally here. The tape’s smooth production, fierce beats and impressive flows show that Kid Bookie is not one to be doubted – the message he seems to be sending with this tape. In the lead single ‘Premonition’ Kid Bookie spits fierce bars over an energetic trap beat with confidence and skill, along with his collaborators Dot Rotten and Atlanta rapper Nasaan. This release is sure to grab people’s attention, daring them to rate and appreciate his skills.
