Jay Z and Beyoncé to host Tidal Charity Concert in Brooklyn

Super power couple Jay Z and Beyoncé are reportedly to host a huge Tidal charity concert this October in collaboration with the Robin Hood Foundation, an poverty-fighting organisation in New York.

According to The New York Post, a wide range of artists such as Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Lauryn Hill have signed up to perform at the show which will be held at Brooklyn’s Barclay Centre.

Tickets for the show will range from $50 to $100,000 for VIP packages which will raise money for “Robin Hood, education for children in NYC and for charities nominated by the artists.”

As you guessed, the event will be live-streamed on the Tidal platform for those unable to attend the show.

The charity concert will follow October’s upcoming Tidal X show which will also be held at the Barclay’s Centre and will include performances from artist’s such as Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Rick Ross and of course, Beyoncé and Jay Z themselves.

Tidal has been under fire earlier this week, as reports from The Wall Street Journal found that the streaming service is struggling financially, suffering from a net loss of $28 million in 2015 alone. While people are still continuing to subscribe, Tidal is still struggling to compete with the more established streaming platform’s such as Apple and Spotify.
