Since he released his solo project In Colour in June of last year, Jamie XX has received a lot of well-deserved critical and media attention. The album was nominated for a Grammy and has had hit singles such as ‘I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)’ featuring Young Thug and Popcaan, and ‘Gosh.’ The video for ‘Gosh’ has been released today, and it’s as captivating and unique as the track itself.
The video is shot in the city of Tianducheng, China, which is a replica of Paris. It opens with people in a neon-lit room which seems to be connected to a simulator, and later 400 blonde actors can be seen running through the dream-like city. There are no visuals or CGI, but the action paired with the hypnotic rhythm of the track’s drums and bassline make the video a must-watch. Check out the vid on Apple Music > here <
